The Healthcare Committee was created in April 2013, a result of collaboration between Chestatee Regional Hospital, several local healthcare-business owners, and the Chamber of Commerce. The committee provides a platform and resources to educate local businesses on key healthcare issues, builds a more cohesive healthcare community, maximizes awareness of healthcare resources, and encourages the use of local healthcare services.
The Healthcare committee meets each month for networking and to discuss the healthcare issues impacting Lumpkin County.
The committee’s signature event is the annual fall Health and Wellness Expo which, in its first year, attracted over 50 healthcare vendors and benefitted more than 130 local residents with over 12 free diagnostic tests.
Meetings: The Healthcare Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8:30am at the Chelsey Park Clubhouse (200 Mountain Park Drive).
