Lumpkin County understands that communities that make a concerted effort to develop leadership qualities and skills in their citizens tend to have economic and other advantages over other communities. Our community—from the Chamber of Commerce to our businesses to our local governments, university and schools—invests heavily in maintaining a diverse adult and youth leadership infrastructure. Our local governments, non-profit organizations and civic groups tap into that infrastructure to fill their boards and committees. The result is a culture of effective leaders who see where our community has been, understand its unique challenges and resources and have the courage and skills to impact its future. |
