Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce

Leadership Lumpkin County is the experience of a lifetime. It requires commitment and time (1 day a month) from class members, but, in return, offers a substantive education on the inner workings and resources of our county! Leadership Lumpkin was designed over 30 years ago to be a springboard for those interested in volunteering their time to community service.

While many similar programs focus solely on young “emerging” leaders, Leadership Lumpkin strives to incorporate a wide range of leadership experience levels in its class make-up. With an interactive, interpersonal curriculum designed to support both leadership skills development and exposure to community issues, Leadership Lumpkin encourages participants to share the benefit of their own experience while they also learn from others.

In addition to learning about what makes our county prosperous, participants get to meet the community leaders who make things happen. Class members also have a year to get to know each other, develop business associations, and forge new friendships.
