The Georgia Chamber created the Federation to build a strategic allegiance with local chambers across the state and strengthen the collective voice of Georgia's business community. As a member of the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Visitors Bureau, you can get FREE Federation participation with the Georgia Chamber if your business has 10 or fewer full-time employees.
The Federation is predominately focused on working to empower our state's small businesses by providing them with the information and resources necessary to actively engage their elected state officials and local leaders. Georgia is divided into nine travel regions. Each of these regions has a Regional Travel Association whose members work together to promote travel and tourism to their respective regions. The Northeast Georgia Mountains Travel Association markets and promotes the 17 county region known as the Northeast Georgia Mountains Travel Region.
The mission of the Northeast Georgia Mountains Regional Travel Association is to promote travel and tourism in that part of Georgia composed of the following 17 counties: Banks, Barrow, Dawson, Elbert, Forsyth, Franklin, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White by developing and engaging in tourism related programs designed to be beneficial to this region; and to work in cooperation with the Georgia Department of industry, Trade and Tourism, the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association and other regional travel associations. Agritourism is a unique experience that combines traditional agriculture with tourism. Agritourism includes visits to working farms, orchards, ranches, wineries, and other agricultural operations - and these destinations offer a huge variety of outdoor adventures as well as educational, entertainment, relaxation, hospitality, shopping and dining experiences. In Georgia, agriculture and tourism are our state’s top two economic generators. The Georgia Agritourism Association is the official voice of this exciting combination. The Association is an Agritourism Operator led 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation.
